Change Video Speed
Speed a video up or slow it down while keeping the audio in sync and at a natural pitch. Naive speed changes leave audio sounding chipmunk-like; this adjusts the tempo properly. It is free, needs no account, and adds no watermark to your result.

What people use it for.
What happens to your file.
FFmpeg retimes the video stream and applies a matching tempo adjustment to the audio, so speech stays intelligible and at the correct pitch rather than being pitch-shifted. Speeds can be typed as 2, 2x or 200%. Speeding up keeps the original frame rate (at most 60 frames a second) instead of multiplying it into a file phones refuse; the result is 8-bit video at even dimensions that plays everywhere, HDR phone video is tone-mapped, and every audio track is retimed with the picture.
Where it stops: Slowing footage below its original frame rate can look stuttery, because there are no extra frames to show. Very large speed changes degrade audio quality regardless of tool.
Everything you need, without a paywall.
Common questions.
Will the audio sound distorted?
No. Audio tempo is adjusted separately from pitch, so voices stay natural instead of becoming high or low pitched.
Why does slow motion look jerky?
Slowing a 30 fps clip to half speed gives 15 effective frames per second. True slow motion needs footage shot at a high frame rate to begin with.
What speed range is supported?
From a quarter speed up to four times, which covers the practical range before quality degrades badly. A speed outside that range gets a message instead of being quietly changed.
