The builder checks each selected step against the output of the previous one and only allows compatible next steps. That prevents workflows that look useful but cannot actually run because the file type no longer matches.
Where it stops: The builder organizes steps; it does not magically merge unrelated tools into one server job. Some workflows still need manual review between steps.

Is this for automation?
