The selected operation splits the input by characters, words, or lines, reverses that sequence, and joins it back together without rewriting the individual values. Characters are reversed as a reader sees them, so an emoji with a skin tone, a flag or a letter with a separate accent stays whole, and words are reversed within each line.
Where it stops: Reversal changes order only; it does not translate or repair text. Right-to-left scripts are reversed as they are stored, which is not the same as changing their direction.
