How it works

What happens to your file.

Every page is rendered as a thumbnail in your browser so you can see what you are moving. Reordering, rotating and removing all describe a plan, and when you save, the pages are copied into a fresh document in that arrangement. Rotation is stored as the page rotation a PDF reader honours, so the page is turned rather than re-rendered and nothing loses quality.

Where it stops: This arranges whole pages: it does not edit what is on them. A password-protected PDF has to be unlocked first. Links that point to a specific page number inside the document still point at the old number after a reorder, which is a limitation of how PDF stores those links.

When you need this

What people use it for.

Fixing a scan that came out in the wrong order
Moving an appendix to the end and dropping the blank separator pages
Turning the pages a scanner fed in sideways
Building a tidy version of a document for a client, from a messy original

Questions

Common questions.

How do I reorder the pages in a PDF?

Drag any page thumbnail to its new position, or use the arrows underneath it, then save the new order.

Can I rotate only one page?

Yes. Each page has its own turn-left and turn-right buttons, so a single sideways scan can be fixed without touching the rest.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The pages are read, shown and rewritten in your browser.

Can I get a removed page back?

Yes. Nothing is saved until you press the button, and "Put every page back" restores the full document.

Does it change the quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are and rotation is recorded as page rotation, not by re-drawing the page.
