What happens to your file.
Rotation is written as the page rotation value a PDF reader honours, which is how a PDF is meant to record orientation. The page content is never re-drawn, so nothing is resampled and the file stays exactly as sharp as it was. Select individual pages to turn only those, or leave everything unselected to turn the whole document. A turn to the left (-90) is saved as 270 degrees, the form every reader shows correctly, and bookmarks, links and fillable fields stay as they were.
Where it stops: This turns whole pages. Content that is drawn at an angle on an otherwise upright page cannot be straightened this way; that needs Deskew PDF. Password-protected files have to be unlocked first.

How do I rotate a PDF and save it?
Add the file, turn the pages with the rotate buttons, then save. The rotation is stored in the file, so it opens that way everywhere.
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Select the pages you want first, by clicking them or typing a range, then rotate. With nothing selected, every page turns.
Will rotating reduce quality?
No. The page is not re-drawn; the rotation is recorded as a property of the page, which every reader honours.
Can I turn pages to the left?
Yes. A left turn is stored as 270 degrees, which every PDF reader shows the same way. Pages turn in quarter turns; a PDF cannot store a page at 45 degrees.
Why does my PDF still look sideways in one app?
A few older viewers ignore page rotation. Opening it in a current reader, or printing it, will show the correct orientation.
