What happens to your file.
Images are placed in a grid with even spacing and a background colour you choose. The cells take the shape of your photos, so a set of portraits gets tall cells and heads are not cut off. In fill mode each photo fills its cell, trimmed evenly with a little more kept at the top, where faces usually are; in fit mode every photo is shown whole on the background. A picture with a transparent background sits on the background colour. The collage is saved as one JPEG.
Where it stops: Photos of very different shapes cannot all fill identical cells without trimming; choose fit to show each one whole with background around it. Crop important images first if the exact framing matters.

Can I control spacing?
Yes. Use spacing and background settings to separate the images.
Will faces be cut off?
The cells follow the shape of your photos, so portraits get tall cells. When the shapes are mixed, choose fit in More options to show every photo whole, with background around it.
Will it keep original resolution?
The collage has its own output size. Individual images are scaled to fit that layout.
Can I make a PDF contact sheet?
