How it works

What happens to your file.

Each image becomes one page at the size you pick, A4, US Letter or your own measurements, in portrait or landscape. The picture is scaled to fit inside the page margin with its proportions kept, or scaled to fill the page when you would rather have no white space. Pictures are embedded at their original resolution, so nothing is thrown away, and a multi-frame image such as an animated GIF or a multi-page TIFF becomes one page per frame.

Where it stops: The PDF contains pictures, so the text inside them is not selectable or searchable; run PDF OCR on the result if you need the words. A file made of high-resolution photos is large by nature, so compress the images first when the PDF has to go by email.

Questions

Common questions.

How do I combine several photos into one PDF?

Add them in the order you want, choose the page size, and download a single PDF with one image per page.

Will my photos be cropped?

Not with the default setting: each picture is fitted inside the page and its proportions are kept. Choose fill instead if you would rather the picture covered the whole page.

Is the text in my scans searchable?

No. A photo of text is still a photo. Use PDF OCR on the result if you need to search or select the words.

Does it keep the image quality?

Yes. Images are embedded at the resolution you provide; nothing is quietly downscaled.

Can I choose the page size?

A4, US Letter or your own width and height, portrait or landscape, with an adjustable margin.
