Image Upscaler
Enlarge a small or soft image with Real-ESRGAN, a model trained to rebuild edges and texture instead of stretching pixels. Two or four times the width and height, with detail reconstructed rather than smeared. It is free, needs no account, and adds no watermark to your result.

What people use it for.
What happens to your file.
The image goes to a Real-ESRGAN super-resolution model running on our own hardware, which reconstructs edges and texture at two or four times the original width and height. It is a reconstruction rather than a stretch: the model predicts the detail that plausibly belongs at the larger size from what it can see in the original.
Where it stops: Upscaling invents detail that fits the picture; it cannot recover detail the camera never captured. Faces, small text and logos can come back subtly different from the original, so an upscaled image is not evidence of what was there. Very large inputs take longer, because the work grows with the number of pixels.
Everything you need, without a paywall.
Common questions.
How do I make a picture bigger without it going blurry?
Add the image and choose 2x or 4x. The model rebuilds edges and texture at the larger size, which is why it stays sharp where a plain resize goes soft.
Can it recover a face or a number plate?
No. The detail is reconstructed to look plausible, not recovered. Never rely on an upscaled image to identify something that was not already legible.
Which scale should I choose?
2x for a photo that is only slightly too small, 4x when you are starting from something genuinely tiny. 4x takes longer and the invented detail is easier to spot.
Is my image uploaded?
Yes. The model runs on the service rather than in your browser, in a temporary workspace that is removed after processing.
What if the result looks too smooth?
Try 2x rather than 4x, or run Enhance Image afterwards to bring contrast and micro-detail back.
