Questions

Common questions.

Why is the dominant colour a background rather than the subject?

It is measured by pixel count, and backgrounds usually occupy more area than subjects. Crop to the subject first if you want its colour.

What does the percentage mean?

The share of pixels belonging to that colour group. A low percentage means the image has no strongly dominant colour.

Can I get several colours instead?

Yes, use the Image Color Palette tool for a representative set.
