Adjust Image
Adjust brightness, contrast, saturation and related image settings when a photo is too dark, too flat, washed out, or over-coloured. It is a manual correction panel for quick visual fixes before you print, upload, archive or share the image. It is free, needs no account, and adds no watermark to your result.

What happens to your file.
The image is decoded, each pixel is recalculated with the tone and colour settings you choose, and the result is encoded in the selected output format. Brightness shifts the whole image lighter or darker, contrast expands or compresses the distance between dark and light areas, and saturation changes colour intensity. The preview is meant for small, reversible steps: adjust one control, inspect faces, text and shadows, then continue.
Where it stops: Blown highlights and crushed shadows cannot be fully recovered when the detail is gone. Heavy saturation changes can make skin tones, product colours and brand colours inaccurate. Work from the original file where possible, and use the smallest correction that solves the problem.
Correction order
- Set brightness first so the subject is readable.
- Adjust contrast second so the image has shape without losing shadow or highlight detail.
- Tune saturation last, because colour changes are easiest to overdo.
- Export a copy and keep the untouched original for future edits.
Format notes
Choose JPG for ordinary photos, PNG for screenshots or graphics with sharp flat areas, and WebP when you want a smaller web image. If transparency matters, do not export to JPG.
What people use it for.
Everything you need, without a paywall.
Common questions.
Can it fix exposure?
It can improve brightness and contrast, but it cannot recover detail clipped to pure white or black.
Will saturation affect skin tones?
Yes. Increase saturation carefully, especially on portraits.
Can I batch adjust images?
Yes. The same settings can be applied across a batch.
Should I use Enhance Image instead?
Use Enhance Image when you want an automatic first pass. Use Adjust Image when you already know which control needs changing.
